Sarah Inder married Nick Gibson on the 15th September 2011 and held a humanist ceremony on 17th September 2011. Sarah approached me to create jewellery for her and her four bridesmaids.
Sarah’s theme was sunflowers and her colour theme was ivory and chocolate brown so we thought that the bridesmaid jewellery, whatever design, had to include a flower of some sort. I sourced 12mm Swarovski Crystal Pearls that were just the right colour to match the bridesmaid dresses, vintaj findings and a matching flower charm to give the bracelets a more vintage feel which Sarah wanted.
Bridesmaid Bracelet:
I have made designs similar to these before but never used vintaj findings for bridesmaid bracelets so it made a nice change and really suits a more vintage style wedding.
I love it when a bride trusts me to make their own jewellery for the day as this is such an honour so when Sarah commissioned a matching bridal bracelet, necklace and headpiece, I was delighted. Sarah came prepared to our first meeting and had done some research on previous Pierrine wedding designs.
Taking inspiration from two designs I did last year Sarah picked bits she liked from each to make her very own unique designs. Sarah loved the irregularity in the shape of freshwater pearls, a heart toggle and of course a bit of bling so I created a floating bracelet for her using ivory freshwater pearls, Swarovski Bicone Crystals AB and a silver heart toggle.
Bridal Bracelet:
Sarah also wanted a necklace to match and chose a two layered design:
Bridal Necklace:
To keep the theme throughout her wedding accessories, Sarah chose to also commission a co-ordinating bridal headpiece which would add a touch of sparkle to her hair style on the day as she was not wearing a veil.
Here are some pictures from the big day:
I love the way Sarah’s hairdresser has interwoven the headpiece into her hairstyle:
I think all three Pierrine pieces worked so well together and really complimented Sarah’s ivory wedding dress.
All that’s left to say is congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gibson on their marriage and I wish them all the best for the future.
Hope you have enjoyed viewing these designs and I would be happy to hear any comments.
