About Me

My name is Nicole Bromley.  I was born in the UK and moved over to Guernsey when I was 5 years old.  I have always enjoyed being creative whether it be on the stage, painting, photography, scrapbooking etc and having undertaken a Foundation Course in Art, Media and Design followed by a Graphic Design Degree at UWE in Bristol.

After University I tried to secure a creative job but found myself working as a Secretary in the finance industry.  One day I woke up and smelt the coffee as they say and realised I felt I could do something more.  Don’t get me wrong I thought my job was a good job but just not for me.  I then turned my hand to recruitment and gained four years’ experience at a recruitment agency and then two years’ human resource experience working within a financial firm.  I gained several relevant qualifications but something was still missing in my life.

In August 2008 I got married and it was whilst planning our wedding day that my love for anything creative was reignited.  Planning the wedding stationery with the designer, matching colours, ploughing through piles of wedding magazines to find that perfect wedding table centre piece and hunting out that perfect jewellery.  I also sourced a local milliner who designed my wedding hair piece.  Whilst working with her on the design my love for sequins, texture and beads grew.  It is all of the above that have led me to turn my creative side to jewellery and crafts.

So why Pierrine?  Pierrine is my middle name and I love it because it is different.  It is the French female equivalent of Pierre.  It means ‘rock/stone’ which is quite apt for my jewellery.

I hope this new venture will grow and grow and look forward to the journey it takes me on.  Hopefully a successful and content journey but more importantly a creative one.  Please keep following my blog and experience this journey with me.
